The Saudi Arabian news agency reports 12 dead and 11 injured as a fire erupted at the Jubail United Petrochemical Co. The most ABC news could seem to report is that they could not find a phone number for the plant (nice job liberal media). In any event, the timing seems odd, as it comes against the backdrop of the Doha meeting where major oil producers were looking to peg oil prices at $50 per barrel.

Here’s what I find really crazy about the entire situation – you have the Doha meeting, and a chemical plant fire with absolutely little to no news coverage. The event happened 22 hours ago! If this were a result of terror, prices would skyrocket, but the Saudi’s seem intent on keeping oil prices depressed indefinitely.

Something else is at work here, as news from the event is being carefully controlled.
